It's Been Awhile...
Another new year come and yes, it was 10 days ago... I'm still catching up. So what else is new? Since my last post, I've been diagnosed with Multiple Scerosis (2013). Sjogrens (2022) Diabetes (2023) and today, my doctor thinks I have another autoimmune disease...Lichen Planus... which is attacking my gums. No wonder I've been having trouble with my gums. (sigh) If it's not one thing it's another.
Oh! I forgot! I've lost some weight... I'm down from 311 (my highest weight) to 195 (current weight) and it is staying off. :-)

Another year has come and gone...I know, I know, New Years was last week...I'm just trying to catch up. I had a peaceful night, was on the phone with my dear cousin when the clock struck 12.
Now my brain has been actively seeking....I want to be more productive this year. I want to start a craft class for some of my friends in the community. I already teach knitting/crochet, but there are many who cannot or are not interested in yarn crafts. I found online some great ideas for recycling everyday items and create keepsake gifts for their friends and family. I asked a few of the ladies and they seem to be enthused about the idea.
The whole idea came to me because so many of us are on very fixed incomes and many of us, me included, are unable to gift to our friends and loved ones because everything is so expensive and some of my friends were depressed because of this. The thought of being able to make gifts this year is helping to get rid of the depression.
I only ask that the Lord gives me the strength and guidance to make this happen.

Next! Please
All the blood work is okay..I've been approved for surgery. Still hanging in there. My blood pressure is still high. My meds have been increased and I am now taking meds for high cholesterol. She (my doc) also stated that I am pre-diabetic. What else can go wrong? I tell you, once you hit 60, everything starts to give out. Too much work and stress has taken its toll on my body. I asked about the "panic attacks" that I had had in April. and she said, my body was just worn out from so much stress.
rundown.
constant headaches (type of migraine)
high blood pressure
Fibromyalgia
degenerate disk disease (cervical spine - neck)
degenerative disease - spine ( 2 discs)
bursitis (hips)
osteoarthritis (knees)
GERD
Carpel tunnel
nerve damage
peripheral neuropathy
the beginnings of cataracs
pre-diabetic
and high pain/exhaustion..so tired all the time. Pain level today...8+
WHAT else is there?
so much to learn, so little time.

Next Please!
Well, so far, my SED rates have gone down to normal..still waiting for the results of my pre-op tests to schedule my surgery. I know the EKG was normal...and, since I've been pretty much poked every week, I'm sure my blood work will also be normal. I'll find out Thursday. I've been monitoring my blood pressure on a daily basis and even with the change in medication, it is still running kinda high. What's next?
